10 Shops for the Wide Footed Fashionista

Girls, for those wide-footed women out there all I can say is…the struggle is real!!! Are you forever searching for that perfect pair of heels that are not only stylish but also comfortable? Well…look no further!!! For some reason it is almost impossible to find a pair of heels for us wide-footed women that are not only fashionable but don’t leave your feet in pulsating pain – you know what I mean ladies!!

Only now are designers remembering that not every woman is born with small, narrow dainty feet. I have literally searched high and low for designer/ non designer shoes that cater to wide footed women that are not bulky or look like something your eighty year old grand mother would wear. Following painstaking (sometimes literally) research on the plethora of brands and having purchased from almost all of them I am so happy to be able to share my Top 10!!!

1. New Look: This is a must see – with such a broad range of footwear you will not be disappointed.

2. Dorothy Perkins: The shoes featured in this blog are from DP. Being a recent purchase, I can tell you with full confidence they are not only gorgeous but super comfortable. Make sure to check out their wide fit line – they have a great selection.

3. Asos: Finally Asos has a line for wide fit girls, I have purchased a few from the website and can tell you they are true to size.

4. Boohoo: Offering a selection of wide fit shoes that are also inexpensive this is certainly not to be missed.

5. Clarks: With a large selection of shoes Clarks is definitely worth a view particularly if you are looking for that business/office look!

6.  River Island: Though their selection is on the small side, they do offer various styles from causal to dressy.

7. Simplybe: For women with very wide feet I would suggest taking a look on this website. It caters to sizes wide to EEE (extremely wide).

8. JustFab.co.uk: I have never purchased shoes from this website but I do know they offer a range of fashionable wide fit shoes in many styles.

9. Dune: This shop is one of my favourites and for the very fashion forward girl you will not be disappointed.

10. Department stores: They tend to offer a huge selection of wide fit shoes from different designers and suppliers. I would highly recommend the shoe department at Debenhams or John Lewis.

I hope you guys enjoyed my list of where to purchase the best type of wide fit shoes. If you know of any other stores I haven’t listed that are fashionable provide this service please do comment below. I’d love to hear your feedback.

Lots of love xx

Pretty In London: Made In Chelsea

Chelsea – the people are posh and the streets are lush!! What an amazing area and one of my absolute faves. As you explore these magnificent streets you are immediately surrounded by the cosmopolitan and casual atmosphere, seemingly lost in a swirl of trendy boutiques and perfectly polished homes. For those of you who have been it may bring back memories of Cannes, which happens to be Chelsea’s ‘Sister City’!! With this eclectic mix of cute shops, boutiques and majestic homes, you can literally have the best of social and home within less than a mile of each other. Take a walk down some of the side streets, go off that beaten track and your sure to find some hidden gems; here are some of the hot spots we found as we embarked on our latest adventure one quintessentially British rainy Saturday:

Enjoy xx

Pretty little balconies along gorgeous white homes seem to be a dream.

It’s almost a thing in London to have a bold statement colour on your front door <3

Perfectly sculpted gardens are a dime a dozen.

I feel in love with the streets <3

The lovely Borough of Chelsea

The ivy intertwined on some of these homes is simply stunning.

This street was absolutely adorable with its cottage style homes, I felt I was away in the country.

Two very cute cottage style homes. Absolutely adorable <3

My favourite part of the day was finding these gorgeous Hydrangeas in one of the cottage gardens. #Dreamy

As you can see I’m a very happy girl. Hydrangeas are my favourite flower and happen to be my wedding flower. 🙂

This stunning shop is all kinds of mouth watering. I highly recommend checking it out for the sweet lover.

I’m not normally a coffee drinker but I couldn’t resist this latte. Venchi makes there own Ice Cream and coffee can you believe it! The Ice Cream is out of this world delicious, you can literally taste the freshness.

Got Milk!??? 😉

How cute is the decor!? It’s like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! 🙂

I think I fainted and went to candy heaven! 🙂

Baywater Street – This is literally colour wonderland. It’s all kinds of pretty.

I choose you Ms Pink! <3 <3 <3

These two houses were definitely my top two favourites. The bright colours are all that and more.

A little bit of the country in the city can’t hurt nobody. xx

After a day of exploring and constant photographing he never once complained. Am I blessed or what! <3

The Book Of Judges: Gods Display Of Neverending Mercy

Wow, is my first reaction after finishing reading the book of Judges.

Othniel, Gideon, Samson, Shamgar, Deborah, Jephthah, Ehud these are the names of the seven Judges God raised up in the history of Israel. It was a time when Israel had no King and time when the bible repeatedly mentions “everyone did as they saw fit”. It was a time when apostasy was king among the people, all acts of vile and wicked behaviour were the norm and seen as acceptable. The tribes warred amongst themselves and killed thousands of their own people. Yet in all this when Israel a nation that had seen the wonders of the Almighty God, forgot what He had done for them, but God sent them Judges. They were great leaders with abilities to rule and protect Israel from their oppressors.

The theme of the book of Judges is quite clear after everything God had done, they did not remember and repeatedly turned from the Lord to go back to their sinful ways. But God, who made a covenant with Abraham and claimed Israel as His own, did not give up on them.

Every time they turned back, a Judge was brought up to remind them of the covenant they have with the Lord God Almighty and so back and forth it went.

After hundreds of years of disobedience and repentance one would think God would have given up on the Israelites but God who is so faithful and full of love and mercy never did. Instead He pours out mercy, grace and love on a people who are so undeserving. When they turned back to Him He never once turned His back on them.

One of my favourite parts of Judges in the story of Sampson. At this time Sampson had told Delilah the cause of his supernatural strength (his hair) and she conspired with his enemies the Philistines. So at night as Sampson slept she cut his hair called the Philistines, they seized him, gorged out his eyes and tied him up in shackles. Their trap had worked but the bible says “But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved” Judges 16:22. Just when Sampson thought their was no hope left he cried out to God the account reads;

Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. Then Samson prayed to the Lord, ‘Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.’ Then Samson reached towards the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, Samson said, ‘Let me die with the Philistines!’ Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

Although, his ending was tragic Sampson remembered God and in doing so God did not turn His back on him. Though Sampson died God saved Israel through this monumental event and he killed more Philistines when he died then when he was alive.

I believe the book of Judges teaches us to remember our God. If the Israelite’s had remembered they would not have gotten into some of the situations they were in. It also teaches us that, no matter how far we are, if we make the decision to turn back to our Lord He will never turn us away. The book is also a great depiction of the character of God and, most evidently, his great mercy. Even after all the vile behaviour and wicked practices God still showed unending mercy to His people. What a wonderful God we serve.

Pretty in London: Victoria

Not long ago I mentioned I would take advantage of my free time this summer and explore some of London’s sweet spots. So, after church Mike and I decided to take a stroll down the luxurious streets that surround London Victoria. On our travels we bumped into some stunning little gems that we just had to share with you all.

Here are a few snaps from our eventful day.

Enjoy! x

Peggy Porschen – not only are their treat’s divine but their decor is like something out of a fairytale, very girly and super whimsical – it is well worth a visit!!

Boisdale – I’m not normally a huge fan of red but this restaurant popped out at me. Loved the contrast of red amongst the soft white buildings.

There are so many hidden boutiques across the city. Great for the fashion lover.

Just taking in the beauty of the streets <3 London.

The arcitecture never gets old.

I can’t get over how beautiful this city is. Centurys old and still making a name for itself.

Another beautiful doorway. Surely a picture moment 😉

Me again 🙂

Haven’t seen this beauty in a month, I think a little PDA won’t hurt nobody 😉

Is his smile contagious or what!?. x
