Just a little something from my trip to Prague, Czech Republic. What an amazing and wonderful city steeped in culture and history. Prague is gorgeous, filled with beautiful architecture that dates back to the 6th century.
On top of that it is both highly affordable and notoriously romantic so if your looking for a destination that is both cultural and romantic I would 100% recommend Prague.
Here are just a few pics from my visit.
The beautiful Prague Castle – amazingly intricate late Gothic architecture
View of the castle from the outside
I’ve never seen so much gold in my life
The world famous John Lennon wall
Cafe Savoy – Highly recommended
First man to translate the bible from Latin to Czech – statue in old town square
New Zealand – the filming location for the world famous Lord of the Rings a land of rolling hills where sheep outnumber people!!
We recently flew out to the North Island for the wedding of two of our close friends and this beautiful country did not disappoint. From amazing people to delicious wine this land has something to offer everyone. One thing that really struck us was how friendly and open the people of New Zealand are – just makes life so much easier on these long trips!!
Waiheke Island (just off Auckland) was the perfect setting for our friends wedding and the Island of Wine (as its known) certainly did not let us down. We would be remiss if we did not give a shout out to the Te Motu Winery – a fantastic vineyard with very knowledgable staff and impeccable wine at fantastic prices. Highly recommended if you’re planning a trip to this part of the globe.
All in all this was a wonderful break and if you ever get the opportunity to visit New Zealand we can promise you you won’t be disappointed.
Below are just some of the photos we took on our trip.
Hope you enjoy!

Wedding Vibes (excuse the blurry photo – what can we say the celebrations were in full swing!!)
Loving life at the Te Motu Vineyard!
What a view – just a short walk from our apartment – Waiheke you are breathtaking!
Blue seas, blue skies – does it get any better? Soaking it up under the summer sun!!
This hotel is a fantastic gem hidden in the heart of the idyllic Richmond Park – the perfect place for a romantic evening away from the hustle and bustle of central London.
The service received was impeccable from the hand written note received with our champagne to the warm greeting when we stepped through the front doors. Combine that with value for money, great food (they do an amazing afternoon tea) and hotel with real character and you have the perfect city break location – we would highly recommend this hotel.
Here’s a few sneak peaks of our time at the Petersham.
Nothing says romantic like a bottle of champagne combined with some macaroons and an amazing view:
Admiring the view – you’d never think that urban life was a stones throw from this location:
Soaking up the amazing view – swathes of green as far as the eye can see. This country really is beautiful:
